Howdy all,

I have a new front apron for my 68 beetle ready to attach but i got to thinking (yeah i know this means trouble).... I saw this http://cgi.ebay.com.au/VW-fiberglass-one-piece-tilt-front_W0QQitemZ330384956603QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item4cec7a5cbb#ht_500wt_1182 on ebay i was super excited until i realized it was a Baja front end. I have been looking for an all in one fiberglass front end for ages no one seems to have them here in AUS (sub $600).

So i thought eh i could just make my own with my parts beetle by just laying it over the current perfect front end, but i would have to be honest i wouldn't know where to start on a project that big. Any pointers or neigh sayers?

Or should i suck it up and put the spare front apron i have on?

if your current front clip is perfect why are you changing it❓
doing your own front end would be exceptionally labour intensive, its not a fun job either...

nah the clip on there is all crushed up (after AAMI refused to fix my beetle when i wasnt at fault (fought with them for 12 months) :S Went to insurance Ombudsman and AAMI lost all details of the crash, so i played their game of lost claim number etc, they said i had to re submit my claim i tried and they said sorry its too old.. in the end my beetle was left crushed and i wont insure my car with AAMI again.) . So in short my current valance is all crushed in i have 2 spare new ones tho one orig and one mex.
