Vanagon T3 dizzy

I have an issue with the connector of the wiring on the dizzy of my T3 (Vanagon)

It is shorting out and obviously that is causing issues

Can i ditch it and put a 009 in there???

mmmmm spoze you can if you want to go back to points? and wire it up, not sure if the EFI computer would like it.
