missing the threaded studs on the inlet ports of my 36hp engine and 2 exhaust studs.Just wondering can I just use hi tensile bolts instead to hold on the inlet manifold or exhaust?

You should be able to buy the correct studs from a good bolt supply company, if not buy some grade 8.8 bolts with the correct thread that is long enough and cut to length, i would prefere to use studs rather that bolts as the factory intended.
