Hi list,

Who in Sydney can do good Type-1 chassis reconditioning/restoration?

I'd also be interested to know who has had this done & what the options are?

Cheers,

Tom

I've just finished fixing the second body pan in a month.

The first is a shortened pan that needed a new front frame head and some patches in the floors.

The other is a full length pan that needed its floors to be replaced, but I patched them with bits I cut from the floors of another car and 1.2mm thick mild steel.

The problem is that patching and fixing a pan is fiddly and time consuming. I have the time. To get it done professionally would be very expensive.

It may be cheaper to get someone to replace the floors with new ones if it is done professionally.
