Hi guys I'm after a dash pad for my 69 squareback.
If anyone has one for sale or can tell me who makes them that will be great.

Thanx

can only get new LHD ones

worth ringing around the shops to see if anyone is wrecking a type 3

they are getting hard to find, and near impossible with no cracks

they can be repaired at dashboard repairers thou...

and from memory late model ones fit in earlier cars but not the otherway around...

so you should be able to get even a 70's one and it'll fit...

hope that help, best o luck
.

There is a guy on thesamba forum in Europe somewhere, BerT3, who is about to make exact replicas for each group of model changes. Everyone on there raves about the quality of his stuff and it looks like the dash pads will be no exception. Not cheap though, works out to about $700AUD landed. I'm not sure if he will do RHD but there may be a chance seeing he is in Europe, but his main market will be LHD for America of course. There's heaps of US guys lining up for them, I think he is starting to make them in August.

Yea I was thinking about just getting one from ispwest, and cutting it up for to make it rhd then retrimming it. That would have been a let resort.

you can always get some one with a reasonably good one and make a silicone mold. then make a fiber glass base, then line it with leather or vinyl?
