This is the latest Volkswagen California camper, as sold in Europe/UK. As Westfalia were bought out by Mercedes a few years ago, Volkswagen now makes its campers in-house at their Hanover plant.
We can't buy California factory campers in Australia. VWGA brought out a few demonstrators a few years ago but couldn't get Australian certification. For some reason, even for RHD markets, the sliding door is only available on the right. So, we have to buy Trakka conversions instead - which are still very good.
But check out that roof mechanism on the California. It looks like a sideways VW sign - nice touch.
