Well...I wonder if anyone can steer me in the right direction?
My daughter's 69 Beetle has a Load Compensating bar that runs accross the underside of the body and attaches to the swing axle mounts with a series of rubber bushes. Apparently the 69 model was the only model that came out with this setup.
I am having difficulty finding new bushes for it.
Any advice where to look?

Gazza, sounds like the Z bar on my 68. Mounts to the swing axle in front on one side and behind on the other side (too wet and cold to go out and look tonight). If it is in fact a Z bar, bush kits are availablee from Vintage Veedub or from different vendors in the US such as CIP1. I am in the process of sourcing a kit for my '68. Years ago I added extra bubber bushes on the vertical rods that connect to the axles so that the bar comes into play earlier. I believe theory is that if a wheel lifts on one side the bar will push the opposite side down Reckon there are probably posts on here from people with a lot more knowledge explaining that theory.
Cheers......Wayne
