hi all i got a beetle i think the guy that owned it could be on the forum,its a 68 model,anyway its a 2.1 wasserboxer converted to air cooled,sounds very nice smooth etc,just want to know what size piston they may have used its type 1 heads,not kombi,be good for some info on whats done to this engine,
has kadrons 009 with electronic,would running webers or delortos be better option,also its running a manual fuel pump,
this is next project,thats why the notch is up for sale,,

2.1 wassers had 94mm pistons

Think this is why they were a candidate for an air cooled conversion

I will be amazed if it is anything else

thanks barry,its what i thought it was,very nice smooth engine,would it cost alot to do the conversion from water to aircooled..

I think there is a fair amount of machining
The air cooled barrels sit further in or something
