How do you guys fit the side trims to beetles.
Do they have a plastic clip that sits in the hole in the body and then a plastic pin pushes in and locks it in place.
Once thats done, is there a trick to fit the trim?
The trim clips are steel and after lining them up with the holes in the side panel it is only a matter of a bump to push it home. Sorry rush of blood,the exterior side trim clips are plastic,the clip pushes into the body and then the pin drives home. But yes be careful.
if the car has recently been painted it mite be difficult to push the clips in, and a chance of damaging the paint if u try to force it ( I kno from experience). I used the point of a small philips head screw driver to remove the excess paint in the holes by turning it.
I kno sum mite frown upon that method but it worked ...
