Hi Everyone,
Can anyone recommend a cover for my bug?
I was wanting to buy one that is shaped for the bug, there seems to be quite a few available at the various vw stores.
It's for outdoors initially. (My shed is atleast 3 months away from being built.)
I was thinking one that breathes would be best(not waterproof.) and as long as I park on concrete (not dirt.) life outside shouldn't be to harsh on the old bugger.
Any thoughts, experiences, and or recommendations?
Thanks,
Carl

I haven't seen those, they are very cool.
Could double as a 'wet weather' area when camping.👍
Thanks Matt

I would get something that doesnt touch the paint??
It always worries me when i see cars that have covers on them long time and live outside that after a downpour they "steam and cook" under those covers
I cant believe that is good.

Reckon they need to breath.

What about a tarp/carport roof??

so long as its good quality and nice and soft on the inside...

and keeps the sun off the rubbers...lol

I bought a cover off eBay cheap to fit a Honda CRV... lol

and used it a couple of times..
just pulled it as tight as I could...

I am going to cut it to fit and have it sewn up...
maybe make a silver bonnet bra out of whats left.. lol

I think all the good quality ones do breath...

cheaper ones don't... just like having a plastic bag on Your car
Ok in the winter???

cheers

Thanks all for your thoughts so far.

Yes, I agree, absolutely needs to be one that breathes.
For me it's only a temporary situation having the car outside.

As an alternative,..
Specifically,..
Has anybody bought the WCM cover or the Wolfsburg West cover?
I'm thinking if I went that way I would then be able to use it to cover the car in the shed when I'm making dust working on other projects.
Are they any good?
and,.. What sort of money did you pay for them?

just go to supercheap autos and buy one for a small car.
😂🤪😂🤪😂
car forums. where a lot of peoples good intentions end up taking a good old car off the road forever never ever to see the road again. 🥲

Those street covers are pretty fancy.
Dont mind them though.
