G'day.
I'm looking for an EA81 conversion, or anything else fairly simple, I'm not picky. I need something that will replace my 1800 Type4 which is mated to an early 002 3 rib (beetle style) transmission.

I'm in no hurry and don't need anything flash. I have more time than $, and probably have some miscellaneous stuff to swap if you so like.
I have stuff like TN Magna bits, a caravan fridge (needs element), old computer gear going back to the early 80s including some rarities and some C=64 gear. I guess the OE duals from my typeIV.
Oh yeah, a set of domed 914? pistons too.

If you are after something, ask me. I have too much stuff and need to simplify.

Given enough time (months) I have a big box of VW parts, incl. NOS mirrors, steering wheels, cables, some torsion tube bushings, a starter I think and some other stuff for type1. I think I may also still have a pair of fiberglass front guards for an S beetle, a door and seat from a mid '70s type3, a 1600 type1 trans with a collapsed bearing (still working but LOUD when i pulled it), oh and a mini drivetrain with a few extra heads and other bits.
That stuff is stored maybe 500km away from me, but if any of it tickles your fancy let me know.

The typeIV is a money pit and I'm sick of it. I actually want to drive my VW again eventually. The way i see it, a cheap conversion + repairs + engineers still works out cheaper than the engine work needed to fully rejuvenate my bus motor.

Tristan.

Clarify / bump. Not just looking to swap. Reasonable price or money / item combo or whatever.

A bit far away for picking up a whole car unfortunately. I'm just over the Victorian border in NSW. Much appreciated though.

swap you my ej22 gear and other motors for all the type 4 stuff. and the adapter for an extra 600 but its for 228 flywheel. volksconversions may swap the flywheel over for some extra $$ never know. I'm in Wollongong
