This is going to sound a bit random, but im' a Pom so let me off lightly. 😂

I've seen a few bugs without front license plates tootling around Melbourne, is this actually legal? I've looked on the Vic roads site and theres nothing to be seen on the regulation of license plate locations.

More than likely get away with it, leagally.... more than likely you should have one. One of my plates were stolen, police cared that i diddnt have a rear plate and made sure i put the front one on the rear.

I was pulled over a year ago for no front plate on our bus. The plate was on the dash, I just hadn't got around to fitting it. It was a motorcycle cop that pulled me over, and the poor fellow was pretty distraught when his bike fell over by itself. I helped him pick it up, and he just smiled and said to get the plate screwed on as soon as I can.

Just don't go over the border into NSW with anything in the windows...
including P plates etc... Illegal in NSW...
same as with one plate...

although locally, [country town] You cannot read most of the plates of out of town cars and 4WDs due to mud...

I presume if You drove them to Sydney like that they would be booked??

but they can drive thru any speed cameras at any speed...
as the cameras will get nothing...
[that is the part I like]
