i was fooling with the electrics in the dash today in my 73 super bug (yeah I know) and now my indicators they won't flash

It was a rals task as my ingnition switch bloc had given up & I had to tear it all down to replace it.

Now the in-speedo indicator light comes on and stays on no matter if I use the indicator or the hazard light switches

My guess is I've shorted the flasher relay

any ideas?

Cheers

i had the same issue with my 1500 beetle, it turnred out to be the flasher can, the point had stuck together, i gave it a light tap with a plastic handle of a phillip's head screw driver and it sprung back into life and has been working fine since,

it can't be the bulb as it works...
or the earth...

I'm not sure how the Superbeetle flasher is set up...
