Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with rising rate fuel pressure regulators when using with Kadrons? Mine are running out of fuel when on boost and I've been told that it's because on boost, manifold pressure is exceeding fuel pump pressure and so she runs out of fuel in the float chamber.

I've had the Malpassi regulator recommended along with a high pressure pump such as a holley blue.

Any thoughts or advice gratefully appreciated...

Thanks, Marc.

I bought mine from CB performance, they keep the fuel pressure a set amount ahead of the boost pressure,i would say that when used with the appriate pump it will solve your problem, you just connect a line between the manifold and regulator then the reg see the boost pressure, i did not use mine on kadron's but it will work the same.

Thanks Wolfgang, I'll PM you for some details soon.

Thanks vwo60, that sounds exactly what I've been told. Do you remember names or part numbers when you got it from CB? With the AU$ the way it is at the moment, importing is a good thing!

Appreciate all the advice, Marc.

Thanks Craig. You're the second person who's warned me about loud holley fuel pumps!

Thanks funbug, the dual carburettor one looks like the go, I only hope it has a fitting to hook up the vacuum/boost line from the manifold. You can't see it in the pisture they have on the site. And how do you set the idle fuel pressure? Do you have to put a pressure guage on the line to get that?

Thanks, Marc.

Yes there is a fitting which connects to the manifold. I would suggest also running a fuel pressure guage to set the fuel pressure at idle and to make sure that the fuel pressure continues to rise above your boost pressure. The fuel pressure is set with the screw on top of the regulator

Okay, so the dual carburettor fuel pressure regulator has arrived from CB performance (gotta love a dollar at parity!) but there are no installation/setup instructions at all!

I've tried to attach photos of it but I can't seem to make that work.....

There are no fittings in it at all. There are 2 threaded holes on one side (obviously for the 'fuel out to carbies'), a hole above those which is also above the diaphragm so I would assume that is for manifold vacuum, one hole on the other side that I think is for 'fuel in' from the pump and one underneath which I think is for the return to tank.

Confused? Yeah me too! Can anyone tell me if I'm on track? Or failing that, does anyone know where I can get some instructions!

All help greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Marc.
