Hi guys,

I've just swapped from progressive (32/36) Webers to twin 34 baby Webers recently. They are used carbs.

Used the syncro to set at 800rpm, very smooth running. Can i know more about these carbs? Technically etc...? Are they any good or too small for performance (currently my motor is AS 1600).

Cheers!!

should be better than that old setup you had.

Less manifold... less restriction.
The carbs probably about the sameish❓ if not a bit better but once again the intake system is where you should be getting gains from.

I have them on my 2l kombi. Probably better suited to your engine size.

Couple of things I found improved mine. Have you got a balance tube between the manifolds? Helps to smooth out low speed running. Take the carbs apart and spray carb cleaner through all the passages. Wear eye protection because it can come right back at ya! Extract the idle mixture screws and check for ridges or holes. I replaced mine. The ridges/holes don't have to be big to make it difficult to set the idle mixture.

Thx for the tip. Didn't realise that it needs a balance tube.
