Hi All

Orinigal carbie on my 1600 super bug is showing serious signs of wear to the extent that you get everything in time, leave t for 5 minutes and its off again. Engine is flat spotting and misfiring and generally running rough.

Seems I will need a carbie rebuild and potentially get the manifolds replaced (as one side is not heating up at all).

Can anyone recommend a good place for the rebuild in Sydney metro area?

Thanks

If your carb is leaking air at the shafts it will need to be rebushed

Carburettor Service Company at Parramatta Road Burwood NSW (near bus depot) can do this

If you have an original German carb get it rebuilt

Try and get yourself a good 2nd hand manifold and get the heat risers cleaned out.
This is a dirty crap difficult job. It gets blocked solid with carbon

Again - original is better than new - worth the effort
