car forums. where a lot of peoples good intentions end up taking a good old car off the road forever never ever to see the road again. 🥲

not those ones ian, but similar. i got a small area so size about .3/.05/.075, with an-10 screw in fitting with braided lines ,oil filter and earls type fittings ........ i just checked out their site they have similar ones correct size for me. have u seen their oil filter mount, reason i ask , i have one on my kg made in usa, i have spare one [not made in usa] i was goin to fit to my bug, except the hole size and quality seems inferior in the casting. would it make any diff if hole size is smaller considering pressure from the oil pump.

earls oil cooler kit is more than twice the price, is it more than twice the cooler kit in function................also does it make a big diff if the pipe is roun tubingd or sandwich type as it runs thru the cooler ..............edited............ just read earls comparison has all stats .....says sandwich type is similar efficiency with half the size cooler as round tubing coolers

Hi Greg
I have bought a few oil coolers off ebay over the past years...
Coil type with fins and the sandwich type...
the sandwich types were made in Canada...
the coil types are good quality .. not sure where they were made.. I also have an empi coiled type made for the beetle, made in taiwan... its also OK... the oil filter housing casting aren't perfect but do the job OK...
I used pipe sealant on the hose fittings...

cheers

LEE

PS: Chinese made items don't seem to be quality assured...
just quantity assured... lol and cheap prices... lol LEE
