Government Going Mad re introduction of modified rules
vdubrod - July 15th, 2010 at 02:43 PM

There is word again from a good source from within the NSW government that they are and have been making new rules to the registration laws for NSW. The word is the motor industry is putting the hard word on state governments to change the laws. So instead of changing the rules for individual modifications they are planning to bring in new inncentives for people to throw away their old cars. there will be a graded registration cost for cars depending on age and the word is it will be to expensive to register a car that is more then 15 years old and there will be cash inncentives to have your old cars destroyed. And any modification to your car will come under Individual Constructed Vehicles that will include anything such as suspension, engine, and so on and no exception. But there is a plan to show your views go to the web sight attached and sign the petition.

YIKES....
they are all mad....

Classic and vintage etc cars should be exempt...
Maybe if a member of a car club???

The governments in other countries have done this to get old cars off the roads..
Mexican taxi beetles have to get off the roads by 2013...
as Taxis now have to have 4 doors... lol [GOV REG]
The goverment is giving them something like $500 for their beetle to be crushed... YIKES....
