had dramas with what class i was in, i usaully run in road reg class then got put in 3C hisoric class then someone protested me being in this due to
no passenger seat so i went back in 5A "road rego u2ltr" then when the event was over on sundat later that night some prick posted up on the race
forum over here that i should not of been in this class an his son should of got 3rd yadda yadda so the i ended up in class 1B which is under 2ltr but
pretty much can run a sports sedan without the slicks which i came 3rd but the trophy had already been given away to the them 3rd on the

anyways enjoy...oh and i was 1.6 secs faster then last year with different engine. i was hoping for more but oh well, soft tyres next and corner weight
and gear ratio change.
enjoy,fabo.................
My advice: You can play with that car as much as you like i.e corner weights, gear ratio etc etc......but that is not where you will get the
improvements. You need to improve your driving, so work hard at that and leave the car alone. Get a good driving instructor to spend time with you in
your car, and then practice. A second set of eyes giving you real time advice is well worth it. Learn ALL the limits of your current setup, drive
different ways to attack corners etc etc and develop your skills. Just watching your footage I can see lots of places where you can pickup time.
I'm giving this as advice, not as criticism
p.s. Car looks well balanced and sounds good.......thanks for sharing the vids
Thanks Craig, I have thought bout the instructor lessons so I might look into it,couldnt make me worse!
Do you have any footage of yourself racing at events?
The hardest thing to do is self analysis your own driving, but as Craig said, thats the cheapest way to go faster
After the 2011 racing season i sat down and watched myself with all my footage and took notes off how i could improve and each track and corner.
Check out the following 2 vids, the first at Cooperabung in 2011. Look how early i brake entering the hairpin, and how shallow i enter the
hairpin. Thus effecting my exit speed, so slow.
Now watch in the second vid again at Cooperabung, in 2012. Best time in 2011, 31.116 secs and 2012 29.920. secs

PS Your cars tune is on the money, sounds crisp
hey col, i dont have any video of me at all. i have been told by another fellow racer i de eccelerate with the engine to much but man im on those
ankors before the corners.so im not sure how to do this at all.changing down gear or not ,hard on the and keep the revs up???
as for sounding crisp, the carbs are great off the idle circuit but on the idle circuit one of them plays up big time, so im taking the carb to a
specialist to have a look for me....
thanks
With cards playing up, compressed air is your friend.
Cheers Col
Hey cnfabo, looks like you're having a great time with the car mate. Is there a build thread for it somewhere? Love to see how you put it together and the general specs of the car.

The car sounds good, the only thing I do see is that there is loads of body roll. Are you running good anti roll bars on the front and back?
i have made my own up..the link is in the post above..
as for body roll how stiff do you go??
