How difficult a job is it to lower the front end on a 73 Fastback? The rear end seems to have lowered itself over the years, so I was thinking of
lowering the front to suit. Is there any detailed instructions around? I did a search on here with no luck.
Cheers

easy, don't have to cut and weld or anything, dissasemble, just drop some splines re assemble and alignment.
i have'nt done it in a while tho, so someone will pop up and explain the details no doubt
How low before ther are issues with steering/tyres? Only want to drop maybe 1'1/4 or 1'1/2. How many splines would this be?
Cheers
Dave
One spline should be ok, I've gone two splines and it scrubs on the guard just a little on full lock.

Yes would agree 1 spline is about right before steering/clearance issues arise and is what I did on mine. Top of tyre sits level with guard lip.
I know on Youtube there is a 4 part video clip explaining lowering and Im sure its for the front and not just the rear. Have a search anyway.
Yeah, there's a two part instruction for the front as well as a four part instruction for the rear on youtube.
The front end literally takes around 20 minutes if you know your way around a toolbox.
If you need any further help after the vids there's plenty of people here to guide you.

If only one torsion bar was adjusted would it have the effect of softening the front without lowering it much, if any?
I would be replacing the rubber bushes in the rear end as well and while yr there lower it properly
