Whats the cheapest (cost wise) Type4 into a bug exhaust system ?

Hi, I'm just making plans for a project and was wondering what the cheapest exhaust option is for a type 4 motor into a beetle. I want a complete setup that just bolts straight on.

Cheers

Done a bit of research Craig, Vintage speed is about the cheapest if you are targetting performance, tuned length header with box was around $1400 std header with box was around $300 less, system out of germany can't think of name but conversion from euro was about $1800 but mate from Netherlands reckons that you will need to make it fit, Python system is not bad value but will cost your left nut to get it here, Sharpbilt out of Qld do a header at about $400 but you have to make your own box, if you look like getting something from o/seas I also need something, so we may get a better deal freight wise if we get a couple. PM me if you want to touch base, pricing I stated are pretty close can confirm if you want
cheers

Im thinking tuned length headers, not sure on diam yet have to do some calcs, they will supply a box without the outlets attached as I have filled in the cutouts and wanted to have two outlets each coming out just under the join between the guard and rear apron ( porsche style) so they will supply the two tail pipes they use for the 356 porsche kit and I will need to cut bend etc and cut the holes in the box and weld in. If you want on their site they show the construction of the box, very easy to work with. Short of that if you want one with std outlets they can supply, if you have filled in your outlet cutouts they do one with the outlets a bit lower in the box and gives the same effect as std or with just one outlet heading out to the side of the car. When I get back I will access my quote, and discussions I have had with them and forward it to you, after all my research I reckon their system is good value for money and apparently they fit well.

the CSP type 4 into type 1 python system is tuned length and best quality, but no heaters.
CSP do shortened heater boxs for type 4 into type 1 so they can be mated to the vintage speed type4 into type1 muffler . Looks and sounds very nice. Shipping costs on the CSP heater boxes isnt that much as they are smaller and lighter than type 1 heaters.

I think I saw shortened non-heater pipes on CIP1 recently, quite reasonable price. So they could mate to the VintageSpeed muffler.

There's a UK exhaust mob that do type 4 stuff too, TurboThomas http://www.turbothomas.com  well regarded in international type 4 scene.

By the time you get something freighted and payed for you could get westi to custom make you something for roughly the same price and its designed to fit your car and you engine specs. Im going full custom system for the 3.0L type 4 I'm putting in my bus. And no heater boxes as heaters are for pussies hahahahaha

Craig I ran an 1800 type 4 or a few years about ten years ago. If cheapest option is what you are after, I would recommend the path we followed - buy th sharp built headers and then have your friendly local exhaust shop fab the remainder.
