WANTED; original gearbox for Country Buggy
North Coast NSW Country Buggy owner is looking for a CB gearbox to replace the broken one in their vehicle.
Can be the gearbox alone or complete hub to hub rear end.

are the rear ends specific to cbs or are they split bus units
i heard some cb units had limited slip diffs in them..?

Pete, Thanks for the advice re the gearboxes. I will put the prospective buyer in contact with you.
Mat, Gearbox case and gearing is Beetle but the shocky mounts are CB specific so a complete Splitty rear end would require modification.
I had heard rumours there were some LSD units produced, never seen one, never heard of anyone owning one and have not seen it covered in any
literature.

Maybe i shall have a closer look at the one the person offered me and said that they all had lsds in them he believes.
There would be no telling though unless you take it apart?
