Nose Cone
Hi Guys,
Penny for your thoughts.
I am fitting a late modle box to a 68 pan (type 1).
Is it better to use
1) the nose cone off say a 62 gearbox
2) or the later modle nose cone and a urethane addapter mount.
Cheers
Newt

So use the earlier nose (on the later box) as it is compatible with the pan?

I bought a adapter from aircooled.net to go from my 3 bolt trans nosecone, (which is supposed to be stronger) to my 2 bolt chassis, was silly cheap
too. Its also not the nasty urethane that can vibrate like hell it is a injected rubber type like stock.
It will all be OK in the end, if it's not OK it's not the end!

The pan has the older two bolt mount.
The nose has the newer 3 bolt mount.
So I either stay with the newer nose and an addapter, or use the older style nose off an earlier box.
VDuboy
Are you happy with the addapter?

Haven't fitted it yet mate! It's going on my Manxter project, but it look like a quality bit of kit, it actually looks like they have used an
original mount and molded on the correct ends.
It will all be OK in the end, if it's not OK it's not the end!
