Do you know anyone who is locked out of AVDS
If you know folks who have not been here in a while, ask them if they need help getting back on.

How to get back on:
E-mail me directly at vanderaj@gmail.com or SMS/WhatsApp/iMessage on +1 510-697-9315 (my new US number). Generally, you'll be back on within 24
hours. I'm traveling all over the world so my time zone is probably not your time zone.
What is stopping them just resetting their password?
Password reset doesn't work, for the most part.
Over time, we have suffered e-mail problems on our server. Right now it does (sort of) work, but due to technical gubbins in the mail itself, most
Australian ISPs send our mails directly to /dev/null (the trashcan). If it gets through, many e-mail clients often mischaracterise our e-mails as
spam. We can't win.
So we have to process resets manually. We've been pretty good recently at password resets, but I've also seen folks just give up as it's just all
too hard. I'm making myself available to you to get back on. Please let everyone know at clubs and events.

Yes.I have a friend who has been a member on for quite some time.He has been locked out for a while.I sent an email via the contact heading a
fortnight ago and he hasn't had any body contact him.His name is Tony Bevan.Hoping you can help him.

Notification: registering does not work, in that after registering:
- no email is sent with user name and password
- the registration webpage simply shows a blank page with the header after registration, with no data displayed as to whether registration was
successful or not.
Workaround is to use the Lost Password form, which then sent a new password successfully. |
