My 62 pops out of reverse
My '62 bug pops out of reverse sometimes it goes 20 meters and pops sometimes it pops coming out of my driveway. Ive been told by some people
that it could be in the gearbox other people say the selecter pin could be bent. It feels like it is in the gear stick part itself its not the
oringinal gearbox it has been swaped for one with syncro in it. Im not sure of the age of the gearbox does enybody know how to fix this thankx

Have you checked the joint under the back seat for looseness? (under the little plate) That problem was easily fixed in my 62. |

Technically, this is a problem with wear in the selectors of gears - but check your shift-lever adjustment, it's caught a few of us out.
