Hi
I think you can get better pads for them seeing as they used on Alfas.
Stock late Beetle pads http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?action=attachment&tid=87...
Early Type 3 pads

I do appreciate all suggestions and to add I have done plenty of research but information can be contradicting, sourced from local engineering overseas
so unavailable, out of date, not enough detail and most of all most likely not legal for Aus,also using the Kerscher balljoint common to 944 brake
conversions to me I would see as problematic as a wearable part that seems to only sourced from Germany and as far as blue mod plate it won't be a
choice anyway,I am trying to limited how much goes on the plate

For pads, try GSL rallysport on the goldcoast (I think are now also trading or part of Brakes Direct). They can get new friction material put onto
your old backing plates, lots of choices. Though they don't do shoes, only pads
I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
Go hard or go home!!!!
