12 volt power supply socket
i want to run a gps and bluetooth phone in my 1300 vw beetle. they require a 12volt power (cigar lighter socket)
my car doesnt have one. is it easy to fit one and does a beetle have an accessories position on the ignition to charge the devices when not in
use.

No you will just have to connect it to battery or ignition.
I read it on samba, so it must be correct.
Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

Hi
Just fit a cigarette light socked to your car, use a rocker switch or toggle switch connected to battery powere and use it to turn it on and off, I do
this on my VWs to operate the radio, cigarette lighter etc.
Just dont forget to turn it off BTW is your car 12 volt?

There is a factory cigarette lighter hole in the dash on flat dash 12 volt bugs, next to the ashtray but I prefer to hardwire a multi socket unit in
with USB ports as well
