68 VW Beetle Seat Belts/Baby Seat.

Hey guys, I have a 68 VW Beetle without any rear seat belt which were removed by the previous owner. Is anyone able to tell me which seat belts would be suitable (retractable lap, etc) also want to fit a baby seat (NOT capsule) & a booster seat. Can this be done? I know it needs plates bolted into the rear for the seat child seat restraints. But is it ok to use retractable lap belts? Any help, link's,etc would be great.
Thanks

I'm using the standard 3 point belts with a child seat point fitted above the rear parcel shelf in my 72.

I'm not too sure if the 68 model came out with 3 point belts. Can anyone shed some light on this? What I should be buying?

VERY bad move

the belts must be aussie standard or equivalent

suggest VVDS 9789-1777

VVDS sell Hemco which are OEM for Volkswagen and Australian Approved.

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

Definitely buy seat belts from a reputable dealer, and with the Aus approval.

There are a few people who have fitted isofix into a beetle to fit baby seats, Volksworld had a really good step through online which has disappeared, but this other bloke followed the article the link to the pictures is below.
