Bluetooth Audio through dashboard mono speakers and original radio

Bluetooth Audio through dashboard mono speakers and original radio

Hi,

I made a circuit that allows the use of a cheap Mono Bluetooth amplifier through a Beetle's original mono dashboard speaker. It automatically switches the speaker's source audio between the original radio and the bluetooth amp. I made a circuit for a 12V system and a 6V system.

It is meant for people who want to keep their original vintage radios but also want the option of streaming their music library from their phone.

The parts are listed on the two circuit diagrams.

The two amplifiers only cost less than $10 each off ali express. The L4940V5 is a voltage regulator to allow the amp to work with a 6V system.
