Lots of work!!
You'll need to tape up each slot, or try and slide a peice of card shaped the same as the opening behind the vent slits. I did that for mine. I
put blutak inside of the foldings of the slits to hold the card in place. Worked well. And any gaps I used tape for them.
Good luck!! Tim.

OK this just occured to me - but it's late and it may be a crap idea.
how about putting a large balloon in though the slot and blowing it up hopefully it will seal against all the slots and when you have finished you
should be able to just pop it and the fish it out ???

Yes, I believe that the balloon would go "POP" as soon as the spray paint hit it... the paint thinners would disolve the balloon.... back
to the wine cask or blu tac and cardboard....
was a good idea if the balloon was made of thick rubber....

Burst Condom
Yep,
Your right about the burst condom.....not that scary in the short term, however in the long term......what a mess it would make of the paint; oh how
the "paint"
would deform...then burst....leaving a mess and the ongoing repair bill and maintance for the "Paint"!
Easiest solution to the problem, use a "paint" that you can wash away...water soluable is good or one that can be watered down with other
stronger better looking and durable paint that doesn't require general upkeep.
Just apply over the old "paint"!!!
Some people are like Slinkies . . . not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.
