window seals


hi, just wondering if there was anyway of removing the windows from a 74 kombi without trashing the seals? :vader

First of all carefully lift the rubber lip all around the inside and make sure it is not stuck anywhere on the inside.
Get someone to stand outside and catch the window while you push on a corner with constant pressure until it starts to ease out. keep pushing and moving your feet until it starts releasing.
You will find that unless you have had a lot of practice that doing the front screen is something best left to a pro. The front screen is more likely to crack as it is laminated not toughened.
The flat glass on the sides wont be too hard. :D
