If we're talking VW 4 cylinder then the figures I have are:
90mm stroke x 101.6mm P&C = 2919cc
I think ya might need one of them aluminium cases for it though!
VW car, VW engine ...... keepin it "real"
35MPG on 101.3kPa

Pauter sell 3.5 litre big blocks for the VolksWagen Drag Racing championship.
BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG bucks tho! But they're getting 750HP+ out of them on alcohol with NOS and turbo.

Of course you realise the more CCs you try to get the MORE expense you have to lay out for the pleasure.
Theres an old saying
" Theres no substutitute for Cubes n bumps."
To be on the safe side i wouldnt be going over 2100 with a stock type 1 case, and expecing realibility.

Amen to that Dave. There is no way to go fast cheap! No way at all. People talk about alternatives, but I've been down that route and it is never
silver linings because you end up getting into a field you are'nt familiar with. And often the results are'nt as expected. I'm
definately a purist, but a converted purist.... If that makes sense:o LOL

Definately, Dave, definately. :thumb
Keep it in the breed I say, plus it's more satisfying having a quick VW and opening to decklid to astound people that it is actually powered by
an aircooled flat 4 still.

Engine Size...!
I have a big engine being built 2.6L Scat/Autocraft components. Planning a T04 with Autronic. .....all sounds good but the scary bit is the price
more than 20K and not finished yet. think twice before you start... i am to deep to stop now.
