generator stuff


hey guys i have seen some people doing things to their gen like chroming the outside of it an stuff....i want to paint mine..so is it easy to pull apart and put back together?. cus i wanna do it properly with heat paint and stuff...
anyone know?

Painting a Generator and back plate etc..


Its not too hard, I did mine... I took the backing plate off, and the pulleys...
then My Son bought Me an ALternator for fathers day... I have painted the backing plate on the alternator and strap but not the alternator itself...
It doesn't have to be heatproof paint just engine enamel will do...
