Now that’s just un-cool. You can’t put up a pic like that and not tell us how the radiator is setup? You might have to put full details so we can have a go at setting it up the same. Or maybe you can sell copies of the cradle to us if you have a spare I would buy it for sure. Man I must say it looks sweet and a job well done.

I was hoping DAn would post his own info.

It uses a VL como rad and he makes the cradles and shrouds. He sells them for $350 and they are 1.6 and 1.2 mm stailess all laser cut and folded. He was selling them cheaper but they cost him more now. They are very neat and require bugger all to fit it.

Kombi kid just bought one and I will be dropping it off tomorrow.

The bleed tank on it is actually a small rad in teh rear quarter. This is only set up this way as it had a Subie 1600 and it was only using the small rad then so he just left it when the EJ went in.

DAN DAN DAN - he can tell the rest . :bounce

if you have seen a kombi with factory A/C, Dan has the radiator set up in very much the same way as they set up the condensor, same spot, fluted sheet metal cradle/ guard,

I really must get online more often!! hey thanks brad, you've pretty much summed it all up already!!

There is another scoop design that I haven't had the chance to post yet, basically it does away with the louvres and uses a larger scoop...I made this for single radiator set-up’s...they’re interchangeable and the cradle comes with both so there’s room to experiment.

The heater tube has to be cut out, but I left enough space around the cradle so that 100mm flexible tubing can go around the radiator to replace it... I did this because I had previously set-up my heater under the rear bench seat and utilised the heater tube..if that makes sense :)

Hope this anwsers a few questions? follow the link to some more pictures... might help to explain how it was set up.

cheers
dan
