???RAG-TOP>>MOD PLATE>>Q.L.D???

Just got a new rag-top so I need some info from you guys here in Q.L.D. that have done mods to there bugs.
do I need a mod plate for this sort of job?
can I do this(I have can-opener!lol) or does a trades person have to?
if I got it done by somebody, how much would it cost roughly?
I though I saw a write up about it in a recent mag ,which mag was it?
any help would be great:thumb

Rob

i cant help but what did you score???

Did you get a local roof clip, a Britax or one of those ones from England???

You are going to have to put some pics up soon.

I can only guess if you got a sheetmetal nibbler you "could" have a go at it yourself. I guess the trick would be to make sure you seal the metal where you cut it so it dont start rusting there.
Pulling the headliner taught again could be tricky as well

originaly all I wanted was pop-outs,rag top and a wood slate roof rack,so I'm two thirds there just the rack to go.

Heya!

If you know what you're doin', go for it yourself. You can then find a sympathetic engineer to look over your work (or better still get some advice beforehand), before going for compliance.

I have to get my extra bench seat through compliance, and will be going through Steve Blackburn in Annerley. He's good!

Compliance plate will set you back about $130 but he'll advise you for free probably! I'll get you his number if you want. Just let me know.

Best of luck!

Martin.
