Speedster Replica 1 : Toyota 0 couple of pics
Confirmed today that the Speedster Replica is much stronger than a Toyota.
Destroyed the front left of the Speedster but totaled the Toyota front bigtime. Looks like the only injury is my little toe appears to not point in
the same direction it used to. The other driver was fine.
I'll post some images of the poor old Speedster tomorrow. Bummer, must be the 13th right!

Thats very bad luck Pete, but it looks like it will live another day. In order to repair it will you have to get another body shell from NZ?
Good too see your not too hurt (physically anyway!)
Cheers

What's a new shell worth? There's a complete one for sale at Southport (Gold Coast) for $28k. It's not intermeccanica and its got a few
peculiarities (different dash, different where the inidicators mount, diff bumpers), but otherwise it looks really cool. Also only got a VW engine in
it. I'm trying to get my old man to buy it because he used to have a real one and has been kicking himself ever since he sold it! Is it worth
$28k? And what's the deal with getting shells from NZ?

I've emailed NZ to see if I can get a front left corner layed up off the same mold and I should be able to glass it up to the body. All the
passenger door gaps look good, but the drivers door gap has changed. Screen is totaled, and the banjo steeringwheel is folded a bit from me leaning on
it. That's just from a quick inspection after the accident?
Heres a hint: don't wear thongs as they offer no protection in an accident......that's the footwear type, by the way!
