I saw cricket on television once; thought it was quite a peppy game, moved right along.
Then they revealed that they had just shown the day's highlights....

I think the Indians tried every dirty trick in the book to try and bag that game, I really thought we had blown that one!

Wot........ the aussies were on the ropes good job it rained and saved their asses. A few more overs and they would have been all out. As for dirty
tricks have you seen the Aussies play....what was the story of the under arm bowl??????
Plus the umpire was definately an aussie!!
But it was a cracking game and my hat off to the indians they deserved that

Robroy - did you actually watch the game ? when it rained the aussies were 1/73 off 9 overs, with the asking rate below 5.5 an over. After it rained,
they came out needing 161 off 150 balls !!!! The rain didnt save it for them, it made it shit loads harder.
The umpiring was consistent, better than heaps of games I've watched, and as for dirty tricks....... what a miraculous recovery by yuvraj after
he was 'injured' attempting to field a ball (conveniently wasting another 5 minutes while the rest of the indians did a rain dance and
prayed).
However, apart from Gilly and a couple of notable others, we did everything we could to try and lose the game, with our usual middle order collapse
!!!
p.s - I'm sure that Trevor Chappell regrets his under arm bowl in THE EARLY 80's against NZ.

Good game we should have cleaned up easily but the batsmen were thinking of after game drinks or were already pissed. looking forward to the
finals
Why don't we dig up the absolute worst act of sportsmanship from over 20 years ago. Funny thing was they needed a 6 off the last ball to win,
ultimate in brain fade. Don't mention the war.
Alex its common practice to save your lollies or chewy for after you finish bowling by sticking it to the ball :P Makes it more of a challenge for
the batsmen.

Wasn't that a game of footy when someone sent a pig out to replace plugger?

Having seen that match live on the Box way back then, Trevor never had a choice, his ratbag brother Greg told him to do it, Rod Marsh threatened to
walk off in disgust.
