steering wheel resto
well has anybody done this? whats a good filler for the cracks and after filled and smoothed what is sprayed over them tthat is durrable??
any info or thoughts on this would be great

Hey Rob,
I've just done one, and the gear is spray putty. First file the cracks into a "V" and simply fill with body filler (bog), sand it
smooth, then get a can of spray putty from Autobarn, $12, build it up with several coats, 15 mins between coats until you've got a smooth even
surface all over.
Wet sand it till smooth.
Light undercoat, then light sand till smooth, and then colour and clear over the top. You won't believe it. Thanks Sasha at Delux restos!!

there is an epoxy putty by the same ppl as POR 15.
here's a great article on wheel restoration.
Ive just been lazy in restoring mine, i started a year ago, and havent touched it for about 10 months

I tried to get the epoxy putty from the people who make POR15 as I have used their paint and know it to be good stuff.
Problem is the importer wont bring the putty in, so only way to get it is from the states.
