obviously dependending on how high the bus i would go for something different to what you have seen on other busses ,i have been trying to convince a guy i know with a baja bus to stick some 24 inch chrome rims on his just for street use and keep his merc rims for other uses like off road. he is looking at the moment and has found a set but found that they are hard to get in 7 inch width and are very expensive but how cool would they be.

if you are in sydney try cbb or a big tyre place like tempy tyres if they dont have it no one will

I've been through this my self, you can go as you know Merc, Audi A4, A6 mine are built for a Kombi i run 16 inch diameter by 7.5 wide and i think there is a large selection of tyers to suit the larger diameter wheels now so look around at the tyre shops and see what they can do , keep an eye out in the trading post as well, places like CBB don't have much in the wheel department i've asked these guys for the past year and all they could suggest was to do a studd pattern change. check out brads ( I think) dads bus it looks cool with audi rims.
hope i could help
here are my rims

Just be careful if you are going to use the bus offroad, as if you hit a pot hole, submerged or hidden rock or go off a cut out on the beach and land heavily, as I did on Double Island, you may damage, crack or shatter the rim. Then you are really up the creek with out a wheel to paddle with. When I damaged mine being steel I could panel beat it out(I just bent the rim edge), so just take this into consideration

I'm running 15x7 Ford mags on our Baja Bus, had the holes offset my 1mm to fit and they cost me about $75 a wheel
