Learn to Weld?

seems like I've got the VW habit, so I really do need to learn to weld, or get a much better paying job!

learning to weld is more feasible I think, so if anyone knows of any short courses in the Sydney area can they post some info, all the TAFE ones seems to be over 2 years

cheers

Terry

You just aren't asking the right questions of TAFE. TAFE run ACE courses or "Adult Community Education", this is what you should be enquiring about. They run Tig, Mig, Oxy and Arc courses under the ACE banner and the cost about $130 and are usually just two Saturdays. They include all equipment etc.

If welding on your VW is what your learnig for, then maybe you should consider a coarse in panel beating.

Goodluck.

Hi Mike

do you have any specific info on these ACE courses - I emailed 6 of them and they all said they don't do welding courses, I don't mind a bit of a drive to get to a course

cheers
