congrats matey. I know your pain, but it's great to see you did things the right way as opposed to doing whatever you wanted and driving round in an
illegal car like most would.

still a few things to sort out with this one such as speaker enclosure and interior tweaks.
other than that its pretty much done. i m looking forward to driving it over summer, especially now that its rego'd, as of yesterday. gonna clock up
1000ks pretty soon (had about 850 at the rego inspection)
"was only out at d.o.t.v.w. for the safety check", just like you dames. i even got a permit to drive there officer!
haha.
thank god i finally got it rego'd, after all the engineering bits and then another nightmare with vicroads, cos i couldn t prove the vehicles
history. (it probably hadnt been rego'd in 20 years). they dont keep records for more than 5 years in tassie (twice as many heads to track over
there) and the car came with no plates or rego stickers.
i wrote a few letters, got two stat decs and eventually broke through the red tape.
if anyone has any dramas, i know the drill pretty well now!!
WHOO HOO
time to enjoy it

now that i m out and driving, i think its time to follow up on the discussions that i have been having with various people regarding my engineering
certification.
i have added up all the costs that were involved in getting it done and i have decided that i will be making reports available to people that are
interested.
please u2u me for details on the costs
just so that i am clear, what i am selling is one 'license' to use the report so that it is legal (both from RTA's point of view, and also for
insurance purposes) to drive on the road.
the report has been written in a way such that it cannot be duplicated or onsold without my prior consent or a specific agreement being written into
it for a particular vehicle.
this applies to the spindle component of the CB performance wide 5 disk brake kit.
this does not apply to a regular CB performance dropped spindle.
it is also important to note that my car has passed the brake fade test with a 2L type 4 engine in it (making approximately 60kw at the rear wheels)
and weighing about 40kg more than a stock engine
therefore if you are putting a smaller/lighter/less powerful engine you theoretically pass this test too.
just to preempt any sceptical comments, i am not doing this for the money. i am doing it as a means for people to easily get their car certified and
legal THE RIGHT WAY.
the price will be a fraction of the cost and is only a means to me recouping some of my rather large outlay
