VW based trike

Has anyone built and registered a trike in QLD or know anyone who does them?

I am investigating building one, but want to know what's involved before commiting to anything.
I may be able to get a donor type 3 for the rear end, so it won't cost much to build but I have no idea on what's need to get it registered.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks seagul,
looks very cool. I have seen a few with type 3 motors which look very neat as you can have luggage space above the motor (flat motor).
VW bit's are easy, I just need a front end (not too hard) and what is required leagally to get it registered in QLD before I get too serious.

Cheers,
Richard

Looks neat Seagull,

I am currently about to have my carbies reconditioned so that it will run nicely & stop leaking petrol. The auto type 3 is the way to go. So easy to ride especially when you are crippled up with arthritis like I am at the moment
