My Freebie 71 Beetle

Who says freebies aren't out there. Found this on the internet and no one wanted it. Rang the lady who owned it and she was trying to talk me out of looking at it as she really was attached to it but hubby wanted it gone I think. I few people rang her about it but as she had no picture not one person went to look at it. I said I would look at it as I was going to be out her way and well it looks bad but overall the body appears to be solid. Real solid. She wanted $200 but my girlfriend said I was a vw freak and she said oh well if it's going to a good home I can have it. Cool. Surface rust etc but easy to fix I reckon. Just need money now. Was going to maybe wreck it but think I will fix it. Felt sorry for the lady as she cried as I trailered it away. Motor is bad apparently but from what she said sounds like it has just blown a ring. Will be having a closer look at it all on the weekend.

Oh please don't ask for those 71 only air vents things near the back window because they aren't there. Guess someone took them a while ago.

Good find mate :)

Make sure you take it back and show the old lady when you get it fixed up. My grandpa was rapt when he finally saw Wolf all finished.

Let us know how you go with it :)
