Small paint crack - what to do?
I have just been aquainting myself with my new bus and I noticed a small crack in the paint (2pac) above one of the rear lights. It is only about 1
inch long and not noticable but I want to get onto things like this early so I dont have to deal with rust later.
Is it possible to just put a small bead of clear coat or something over it to stop moisture getting in? If I do should I rub some por15 or something
in the crack first? Any advice appreciated.
Cheers
Tim

you can spray some rust convertor over it to stave of the rust for a bit, but experience tells me that you should get it sorted out properly, that
small crack if over filler, will turn into a major repair in time.
A decent panel beater could repair that for under 50 bucks. cash of course!

Then it has to be painted!
The crack could be coming from something underneath, so sealing on the outside will not stop it at all. It would be a case of sanding back to bare
metal to see why it has cracked.
