bigger fuel tank?
one of my biggest worries about putting the rotary into my bug would be. the small size of the vw fuel tank and the high consumption of the 13bt.
is there any way of getting a bigger fuel tank or fitting another one?? I dont fancy the idea of having to fuel up twice to get to the city and back
not cos of the cost but..effort. nah its mainly for if i go on a car
cruise. there can sometime be long runs with no fuel stations along the way. And i dont wanna have to pike out and not show these rice boys wat a vw
can do.

Get some one or do it yourself to increase the tank size, fill it with water cut it in half then weld an extension bit around it. Another option is to
buy a fuel cell from revolution race gear or have an aluminium one made up that way if 13b is injected you can have a surge tank built in to it plus
all the larger fittings that you will need. I know the mid 60's bugs had different tanks as I've got one, the filler under the bonnet is flush with
the top of the tank , making it about a third bigger.
