Tilting the Gearbox.


To all u subaru/beetle guys who have moved the gearbox forward 2in,did any of u angle the gearbox and ifso which way from the front up or down.;)

my gearbox is in the standard possie, but I think it is tilited alittle bit down at the front to help the shift linkage.

BTW, have you seen my mate John (maintenance dude from Haden) round ya work lately. He said he saw ya car a few times and it's really nice.

Hi

Im moving mine 4 inches forward, Im going to tilt the tranny down at the front a bit as well for better sump clearance. My tranny is apart at the moment and it showed signs of a lack of oil on 4th gear, too many blasts up the my test track the M5 maybe.

Hi Pete,no i havnt seen him,but i work outside and rarely venture inside into the snakepit with the rest of the cave dwellers :D
