Subaru Map Sensors

Hey All,

Is the stock ej20t map sensor a 2 bar or 3 bar..any one know???My microtech has en external 3 bar and I have a couple of stock ones, and am wondering if they are interchangeable.. I am guessing NO, as Microtech would not have to sell you a new one if they did..

My understanding is that they are a 2 bar sensor in the stock form. BUT I have never set an EJ20T up so can only go on what I have been told / read.

my understanding is that the ej20t does not have a map sensor it uses an airflow meter for the stock ecu

On the bracket that the ignition module is mounted to...there is a sensor that looks like a map sensor...Oh come to think of it, I was once told it was some form of factory boost controller...so maybe it is a type of map sensor.

that is your boost controller(wastegate actuator)
there should also be a presure sensor there (this changes engine settings for defferent altitudes, i think)
you dissconnect the hose going to the waste gate and turbo housing, but leave
the wiring connected to the boost controller when installing aftermarket electronic boost controll(with factory ecu)
