Buggy Dashboard

Hey y'all,

I'm still looking at that buggy (listed her under another post) and hope if all goes well I'll pay a deposit tomorrow, if its still there. A question though....

The dashboard that is on it (not wonderful), that would have been an add-on, yes? The fibreglass would stop at, like, the top of the dash (eg at windscreen level) and then I assume a frame has been built underneath here to hold the steering column and the dash?

Reason I ask.....he's made the dash too low, either that or the seats point up too high. I haven't driven it yet but sat in it and my legs scrape on the dash, I don't know how I'll go yet with the pedals.

So...I assume I can do some minor work to cut the bottom off the dash? Is it possible to lift the column up a bit, or do they have to stay in the one position?

So, does that mean that dash is under the one on the car? Will have to look at it, hopefully should be easy to make more room there.
