buggy body flex
I have noticed with my new buggy that it's quite flexy. Other than a full cage, what ways are there of reducing the amount of body twist that goes
on? Do side bars reduce this a bit?

ay man im also in the process of putting togetha a beach buggy and the engineer advised me that a sub frame is needed in order to stiffen the body
from flexing so maybe u mite wanna look at subframe designs on beetle convertibles to get an idea. dun quote me on this coz im not much of a vw
expert howeva i think it may hope, best of luck wit it

When you guys are talking about the buggies flexing, is that with everyday road use, or when you take it off the road?
Just wondering, I haven't been able to drive mine much yet but hope to have it rego'd in about 2 weeks, so would like to know if I should be looking
for flex. Mine won't be going off road in the forseeable future, not here in ACT anyway.

nice! and that's enough to pass an engineer's and all? I want to keep the smooth floor so that rules out sub frames under the pan.
Phantom, mine is mainly noticable going in and out of driveways diagonally or rock hopping. Never notice on the beach.

its an acsess hole for changing the clutch cable an sometimes storing tools in there that have been wrapped up

So you take away the strength of the spine. Obviously people don't know the correct way to fit clutch cables. Have seen many holes cut in before
and all it causes to do is the tunnel cracks up.

It probably would do on a standard pan.This is not a standard pan in any way and the hole is rienforced quiet heavily. With a 2mm steel floor seem
welded and 5 mm "c"channel stiffener and proper roll cage fitted as well i highly doubt the little hole will be significant unless i run headon into
a truck:duh AND i know how to fit clutch cables....highly likely i've changed more than you:P
