Split K/L Front Disc's (yes probably again =P)

Ok Ok... I have done the search and found snippits here and there. I know what bolt on kits are available, but perhaps I want Bigger Sexier looking vented/ x drilled ones. And stud patterns not fussed anything that gives a good range of Alloy's really. The car in discussion is a 1967 Double Door Split Kombi, my old mans and mine we are in the process of restore/ UPGRADE....

WHY? I hear you ask... who knows is the answer. Lets just say I like over engineering. And because I am more interested in the process of learning to get them to work. :duh

Now I dont want ball joint so lets steer clear of the options there, which there are many and I have found plenty... ie please try stay on topic with this one....

Has any one got any drawings of a king and link spindle, could come in handy, im a drafty and enjoy 3d modeling... :thumb

Cheer all :kiss

Joel

CSP do a vented large 5 pattern disc that bolts straight on to the K/L front beam.
I think Roy at ClassicVW)pacific) has them.

Check out any Volksworld for there ad(CSP)

Cheers

Yes I have seen that kit, but im looking at DIY setup... just wondering what people were doing before all these vendors were around with these product...

I guess you are required to machine up some sort of hub assembly to take bearings and bolt a disc to is in order. Or are able to modify the standard king link drum to make something that a disc can bolt to...

hmmm im thinking im going to have to get into contact with my old work... (they have big machines)
